Instance Lifecycle

The instance object is the lifecycle source of truth.

• Only one action can run on an instance at a time.
• Conflicting actions are rejected.
• Use /v1/instances/{id}/wait for long-poll updates.
• Use start and stop to control runtime cost.

Status values

• creating
• provisioning
• active
• reprovisioning
• failed
• stopped
• deleting
